Third-Party Software and Licenses

Review the principal third-party components used by Workova, how they are obtained, and the licenses that apply to them.

1. How to Read This Notice

Third-party components are provided under their respective licenses. Component names, sources, versions, and terms may change with product updates. If this notice conflicts with current terms published by a third party, the official terms control.

This page distinguishes open-source wrapper code from separately licensed official compiled binaries rather than applying one license to both.

2. CloakBrowser

The local Workova client lists CloakBrowser as its website automation runtime dependency. The CloakBrowser Binary is not bundled, repackaged, or preinstalled in the Workova installer. When a user chooses to install it on their own device, the client downloads a pinned release directly from the official CloakHQ GitHub Release and verifies its source, signature, version, and SHA-256 digest.

The upstream CloakBrowser wrapper source is under the MIT License. Workova does not currently distribute or depend on that wrapper. The official compiled Binary published by CloakHQ is separately governed by CloakBrowser Binary License v1.3 and is not an MIT-licensed binary.

Binary License v1.3 permits a project to list CloakBrowser as a dependency when end users download the Binary directly from official CloakHQ channels. This local distribution model is not binary redistribution and does not require a separate OEM/SaaS license. Users remain responsible for the Binary License and any subscription terms applicable to the selected version.

If Workova later bundles, embeds, or preinstalls the Binary, or provides a hosted browser, API, remote CDP, or another customer-controlled cloud browser capability, Workova will obtain the required redistribution or OEM/SaaS license before launch.

3. Chromium and Upstream Open-Source Components

The CloakBrowser Binary is built on Chromium and incorporates upstream open-source components such as ungoogled-chromium. Those components remain subject to their respective open-source licenses. Workova does not remove copyright, license, or attribution notices included with the official Binary.
